OUT OF SCHOOL!!

Today I was singing my favorite Christmas song as I was walking out of the school:
WE WISH YOU A MERRY NO SCHOOL
WE WISH YOU A MERRY NO SCHOOL
WE WISH YOU A MERRY NO SCHOOL
AND A VERY BLESSED ONE
PLEASE BRING ME A CANDY CANE OR TWO
PLEASE BRING ME A CANDY CANE OR TWO OR THREE
Want to know how many candy canes I got...

All Saints Day Party

The very gorgeous backdrop for the stage that the youth group painted.

Ryan.
Anna and Mary Francis on the stage.
Mary Francis holding my lamb.
Yesterday at church we had an All Saints Day party. Most of the kids dressed up as saints. We had a contest for different age groups' costumes. Amy dressed up as Saint Agnes.

A Beautiful First Day of November

These are some pictures we took outside earlier (It was not raining, that was a shock).

Moose!! Where did that come from?!?

This is kind of a blurry picture but for some reason all of the pictures I tried to take of the moon, all turned out bad.

(Another) General Update

We have all been very busy last month and the beginning of this month. To start out with please pray for our grandmother, Lucille Flesouras, she passed away on August 23rd.

Kristina inherited our grandmother's car. She still has her learner's permit but mom and her are going to look at the schedule and see what day she is going to take her test.

Kristina played her flute in the first N.P.H.S. football game of the season (Friday September 4th). Unfortunately they did not have their show ready to perform. They had an away game this past Friday (the 11th) at Oakgrove. They performed their show, but, only Kristina went. We will try to record them marching and post it.

Stacie's Birthday

Tuesday, (the 21st) was Stacie's birthday! She woke up to balloons, a (homemade) banner, and breakfast. Stacie, got a few books at Books-A-Million, then we went to Wal-Mart to pick up Stacie's (DELICIOUS) birthday cake (which I will describe later). Later that day when our dad got home, we went to the library, and CiCi's Pizza. When we got home, we ate Stacie's chocolate fudge, caramel, brownie, ice-cream cake! I might add, it was FANTASTIC! To finish the night off, we went over to Aunt Barbara's house to watch a movie and bring her a piece of cake. Over all, Stacie had an awesome birthday!

HAPPY 15TH BIRTHDAY, STACIE

Our stay at Jason and Kristy's house

Hey Kristina here updating. Sorry we haven't been updating much lately. So much has been going on although school's been out. A week ago we got to go over to our cousins (Jason and Kristy's) house. We all had a blast! We played life (well Lauren Stacie and I). Kristy and Amy got to play Yahtzee. Amy and I even got to play Zoo Tycoon for the first time. Ryan, Lauren, and Stacie did a couple little plays and here are a couple pictures from them.

Okay also we (Amy, Stacie and me) learned to play a new game. We had someone blindfolded try to catch the others who are moving around a room (in this case the living room) while giving the blindfolded person clues as to where they are in the room. Here's one of the videos I took on my camera. Sorry the sound isn't so great.

A General Update

I (Amy) have all A/B honer roll for the first three nine weeks of school. I am working toward the A/B for all four nine weeks of school. If you get honor roll you get a trophy. I already have two. One from 3rd grade and and from 2nd. You are only supposed to have trophies for the third, fourth, and fifth graders but I was in a split class, (a 2nd/3rd grade class because there was to many 2nd graders) so I got an unfair advantage. Benchmark is coming up next week and it determines whether or not you go to the next grade and what you know from the current year. I am ready for summer and have even started a count down chart! Forty days left! How exciting!?
Kristina got her drivers permit during spring break! No one can possibly imagine how hard she had worked. Mom said she has junioritus (She is really, really excited about being a junior next year). She is still keeping up her grades. Kristina is doing AWESOME in the band. Her solo and ensemble is coming up the same week of benchmark. We (Kristina, Stacie, and I, Amy) are all still in the church choir. We LOVE it! Kristina is in the school with Stacie also.
Stacie is loving choir and doing great in school. She and Kristina are great inspirations to me. More like a child she will play with me as much as possible and is a very fun person. She is now taller then our mom, Kristina, and I. Soon she is going to be taller than our dad.
Dad is still working 3 jobs and harder than ever now. Trying to spend more time with us,he has taken off work more. We all respect that.
Mom is going to school and still working her job as a nurse. I cannot describe the work that has to be done but no matter how hard the job may be she gets it done. On top of that she has to be a mother, study, pay bills, and work and do what else needs to be done.
We are all very blessed as we enter Eastertide. We hope you all are too.

God Bless,
Amy

April Fools!!!

Here's a late April fools riddle. I will post the answer tomorrow.

A cowboy went into town on Friday. He stayed for three days then left on Friday. How did he do it?

If you didn't get it right or don't even understand it don't beat yourself up!
It took me five minutes for me just to give up!!

ALL SUPERIOR RATINGS!!

Kristina's school had a band contest and got first division (superior) ratings. They get judged on tone quality, intonation, articulation, rhythm/ precision/ tempo, note accuracy/technique, interpretation/ style, balance/ blend, phrasing/ expression, and dynamics. For 19 consecutive YEARS they have gotten ALL SUPERIOR RATINGS! We are all so happy that the tradition is still going. That was last Thursday. Today(Thursday), the choir had a contest that was the same. They made 2 Excellent ratings and 2 Superiors ratings and 1 Superior ratings in sight reading. They did such a great job! I'm so proud of them! When I get to high school I hope to be apart of the NPHS band and choir!!

The Dogs

We took these pictures awhile ago, but still decided to post them.

This is Frito drinking water.
.
Here is Sippy in the food bowl.
This is Cheeto he will only barely come out of the dog house because Sippy won't let him eat so Cheeto is afraid of him.
Lately(since St.Valentine's Day,) Sippy's been letting Cheeto eat. I will have to take some pictures of that and post them!
Well, there's dinner!

Band Pre-contest Concert 2009

Hey everybody Kristina here updating the blog. Thursday night I had a band concert. It was so much fun. My best friend Martha was there, and She says she had an awsome time. We played three songs: Children of the Shrine, And the Fire Raged, and Celtic Ritual. Next week, we're playing the same music and we're going to be judged and then rated. If we get all ones then it will be our 19th consecutive year Sweepstakes! So the pressure is on to keep tradition going.

The picture to the left is (from left to right) Me, Martha, Stacie, and Amy. This is after the concert. My mom recorded it so hopefully I'll be able to upload it to the blog soon.

The picture to the right is me and my best friend Martha whom I wrote about already. This is again after the concert.
Okay below are a few more photos from the concert. She told me that she had a really great time the Sunday after the concert at mass. Well I best be going and making lunch! Bye-bye!

BUSY BUSY BUSY

I can't tell everyone how sorry I am that I haven't updated our blog in sooooo long--but we are BACK. The girls have fussed at me to update every time I get on the computer but I'm always on it for school or to pay bills.

To catchup...Kristina is now 16 years old! Soon she will be driving (everyone watch out) and getting a job (Oh my). Stacie is busy with choir and her hobbies. Amy is doing project after project for school.

As for John and me...John is still working himself into more gray hair. I am still in school (over half way there) and working weekend option.

Life keeps us all busy. Kristina had another wonderful marching band season even though the football team didn't (everyone goes just to hear and watch the band--ha ha). The band is into concert season and will be having a PRE-contest concert soon. Now that she has her braces OFF...(her straight teeth are beautiful) she is playing her flute even better than before.

Stacie is still singing like a little bird both in school choir and in church choir (Kristina is in both too). She has really started to enjoy volleyball and basketball because they play them in gym at school. She has grown another 2 inches taller than me and is getting more beautiful each day. She also has PERFECT teeth since getting her braces off thanks to Dr. Quick and his staff!

I can't believe that Amy will soon be a teenager and is almost finished with elementary school. She is really taking the initiative at home since I have school, studying, work, and home to take care of. She and Kristina have been really helping me around the house with laundry and basic cleaning. I am very proud of them.

Church and family is our main focus and heaven our goal that we strive for (definately a work in progress) even though somedays it doesn't seem that way. A bad day can be a bad day no matter how hard you try to turn it around (sometimes) and we just have to thank God for each and every day we have together because we just don't know what lies ahead.

Because I haven't been the best at keeping our blog in motion...we have decided to make a change or two. THIS IS A WARNING! From now on...THE GIRLS & I will be updating our blog so beware...There will be frequent updates, more pictures, and maybe even a video or two in the future.

God Bless each an everyone who views our blog. JMJ
